TURNING POINTS

Turning points in India were created when Gandhi used non-violent methods to promote social change. Mohandas Gandhi taught India and the world the concept of non-violent protest. His goal was freedom for his people, who struggled under British colonial rule.

Gandhi changed the way people protested against unfair laws and conditions. He accomplished many things while still continuing to promote acceptance of others. Others like Martin Luther King, Jr. followed in his footsteps and accomplished many other difficult tasks.
